This gelling agent transforms water in gel and thickens cosmetics preparations such as lotions, creams, gels, bath products and give them a pleasant texture. Xanthan gum is also used as stabilizer in emulsions.

Xanthan gum can be used in many homemade cosmetics preparations. With a low dosage, it changes the texture to provide a nice sliding and increase slightly viscosity.
To use in your cosmetic recipes of:
Incorporate from 0.2 to 2% of the total weight of the preparation in aqueous phase, cold or hot.
- From 1 to 2% to obtain a viscous to thick gel
- From 0.1 à 1% to obtain a very fluid to fluid gel
- From 0.1 à 0.3% to stabilize an emulsion
